Instant Beef Jerky: How to make Beef Jerky without a smoker or food dehydrator
Beef jerky is one of my favourite snack and there is one popular brand from New Zealand that I would normally purchase. But, it does not come cheap and each small packet comes with a few meager pieces. Gone! In a few bites 🙁
Soooo…Attempted to make myself a whole jar of them using my trusty Microwave.
Instant (10minutes and 1 day) Beef Jerky using Microwave (Slim Dry Setting)
Marinated 400g of lean beef cut (I just got the pre-cut stir-fried beef) with
BBQ Sauce, Smoked Paprika, Black Pepper, Soya Sauce and Cambodian Yellow Curry Dry Rub Spice (i got as a gift). (Most recipes call for garlic and onion powder.)
Left marinated beef overnight in the fridge.

Dried the meat with kitchen towel and laid them on a crisper pan.
Placed in microwave on Slim Fry setting and bake for 10 minutes.

Success!
Beef came out dry and tough; Just how Beef Jerky is supposed to be
😉

Left the beef to cool down and placed in an airtight jar.
Store in a cool and dry place and keep away from junior (as they will be gone in 5 minutes :-))
